Is Your Resume Font Getting You Rejected? Absurd....No!

In both of my books, RELAUNCH! and The Ultimate Job Finding Solution, I address resume writing in condensed form, with links to provide further information and examples when needed. However, one important but often overlooked point is the Font that you use. Seems trivial, doesn't it? Who cares? Well, it turns out that this little detail could end up eliminating you from getting an interview. With the expanding use of automated applicant tracking systems (ATS), the type of font you use in your resume may not be recognized and therefore lead to a rejection. Can you imagine thinking you were rejected because of your qualifications when something as trivial as the font on your resume made the difference? There are also some other not so obvious implications of using different fonts. Every little detail seems to count. This article entitled The Best Fonts to Make Your Resume ATS and Recruiter-Friendly is a must read.
