New Tool to Evaluate Distance and Commute Time to a Potential Employer

One of the key components in finding the "sweet spot" for passion and meaning in a job is a good environmental fit. As expanded upon in Chapter 12 of RELAUNCH!, the physical environment is something to consider, and part of that is where the new job would be located. How far away is it from where you live, and how long is the commute? While these are not the most critical factors determining how you will feel about the work and who you work with, how much time and money you will spend on commuting could be a critical factor in whether to accept a job or not. To help with this, LinkedIn has just released a new tool that can be used to determine distance and typical commute time to employers. The tool is called "Your Commute" and is described further in this article.
